Samira Jafari Designer
Samira Jafari is a London-based jewellery designer, and maker. She studied at Central Saint Martins School of Art, and became an apprentice under Alan Gard in Hatton Garden before launching her own brand in 2016. Much of her work employs the repetition of a single design element.
"Where there is repetition, there is rhythm, harmony and empowering beauty." The inspiration behind Samira’s handmade jewellery mostly comes from the use of unique gemstones in her work. Samira’s search for ethically sourced gems that are both beautiful and guilt-free led her to discover Capricorn Gems (Jewels of Queensland) in 2017.
"There is something remarkably gratifying about the ancient skills of cutting, shaping, soldering and polishing the metal. Transforming raw materials into a finished piece is the closest experience I have found to magic and alchemy.” Samira’s one-off, contemporary, collections make a statement that appeals to confident, sophisticated women.
